Acoustickle CIC is a community interest company that exists to support emerging artists from underrepresented backgrounds, with a focus on wellbeing, growth and sustainability in the creative industries. Rooted in Nottingham and inspired by a legacy of soulful live music experiences since 2009, Acoustickle CIC builds on the independent platform of Acoustickle, to deliver projects that centre connection, cultural experiences and creative expression.
We work with musicians, creatives and local communities to co-create opportunities. From workshops and mentoring to performances and skill-building programmes, our work champions Global Majority artists, women and gender-diverse talent, plus those historically excluded from mainstream support. We believe in making the creative journey more accessible, less extractive, and genuinely nourishing for the people involved.
Our directors bring a wide range of experience in music, event production, education and community work:

Parisa East
Artistic Director and founder of Acoustickle, with 18+ years of experience in live music, artist development and grant-winning project leadership.

Chris Oliver
A spoken word artist and educator with deep ties to Nottingham’s grassroots creative scene and youth empowerment.

Angelena Efstathiou
A seasoned ecologist and multidisciplinary creative producer with a background in education, visual arts and social change through culture.

Chai Larden
