Nottingham's Black Music Promoters - Part 2

Updated: Dec 1, 2023

This is our second blog to spotlight Black-owned events in Nottingham that you might not see in a local magazine... We're delighted that after our first blog, some featured promoters were included in Hockley Hustle! This is what using your platform looks like, so thank you Hustle Collective.

Click the links under each to follow.

Girl You Look Familiar

GYLF is hosted by one of Notts most prolific artists, 2 Tone. It's a stylish, exclusive event for VIPs in the scene, playing RnB, Afrobeats and hip hop to name some.

Euphoria Events

Hosted by the Jugglin' Barse DJ Escobar, this is for connoisseurs of dancehall, bashment and beyond, with some of the most fire mixes you'll hear. Escobar also hosts radio shows on 975 Kemet FM.

Heat Fest UK

Max Loelz and crew have been running rooftop parties and bashment raves, attracting the 20-something party person. Dancing crew, get to know!

Honeydips

This is where you'll find many of Notts indie creatives on the last Friday of the month. Sweet RnB from 90's to present day and special Island Gyal themes, led by DJ Aicha with Andre the Producer on board.

Hunnisuckle

From their own IG bio: 'Amplifying underground music from across the globe thru our Queer parties n workshops'. And there you have it!

Can't Stand The Rain

CSTR is a safe space that supports well-being across communities & creatives in Notts, prioritising the black experience, building a proactive and engaged community through a shared love of music. They gift FREE concert tickets to followers (like to Ari Lennox), and host events like an outdoor cinema and rap cypher.

The 411

Street style, high fashion and all them things at sold out DJ and artist events across the city. Underground movers and shakers attend these events, which run at different venues.

KD Infinity

Out of Jamaica, residing in Nottingham, KD is internationally known with sets across the UK and his own shows on 975 Kemet FM. Big tunes, new tunes, old tunes, KD uses his platform to spotlight new artists in dancehall, RNB and much more and is hugely popular.

Star Linxx International

Jamaican to the core with a real yard man flex. Events held in secret locations, in the pub and clubs, for some invite only and public events to get you vibing.

Sexy Chocolate

One of Nottingham's premier Black music events, hosted by Nico D and crew. Dress up in your finery for a musical journey 90's to noughties, and a grown up crowd.

Wild Cloud Entertainment

A newcomer to the scene, this is for lovers of Afrobeats, Amapiano and RnB with Nigerian organisers bringing fresh artists to themed events like paint and sip and house parties.

Make sure you follow these pages, or ask us to put you in touch if you need an introduction.
