Acoustickle Live on Record: Capturing the Magic of Live Music
What if you could say you were there when your favourite artist recorded their first live album?
For 17 years, Acoustickle has been championing emerging talent, creating stages for artists to connect with audiences and build their careers. Now we're taking the next step with Acoustickle Live on Record, an exciting new project that will transform live performances into professionally released recordings, laying the foundations for Acoustickle's evolution into an independent Nottingham-based record label.

Supported by Arts Council England's Supporting Grassroots Music Fund, the project will professionally record, master and release live performances from a series of Acoustickle events throughout 2026 and 2027.
Bringing Recording Opportunities to Emerging Artists
Inspired by the spirit of iconic live sessions such as MTV Unplugged, Acoustickle Live on Record makes high-quality recording opportunities accessible to artists who might otherwise struggle to access them.
Artists performing as headliners and featured acts will have their live performances released as full albums, while support artists will feature on a special project compilation album. Every ticket purchased includes access to at least the compilation release, giving audiences the chance to take home a piece of the experience.
This project is about more than recording music. It's about creating opportunities for artists to grow, reach new audiences and build sustainable careers.
A New Chapter for Acoustickle
Since launching in 2009, Acoustickle has showcased more than 1,000 live performances and helped introduce audiences to outstanding artists, including Jayahadadream, Yazmin Lacey and Jake Bugg before they achieved wider recognition.
As Acoustickle continues to grow, Live on Record represents an opportunity to move beyond showcasing talent and into actively developing and releasing music. Alongside paid performance opportunities, the project will offer mentoring, artist-led workshops and hands-on training for emerging music professionals, including interns and trainee sound engineers. We're also inviting emerging artists to apply for the paid opening slot, offering another opportunity to be part of this landmark project.

Founder and Director Parisa East said:
"Exceptional artists grace our stage. We want to do more for them and with them. If we'd had the resources to record and release even one of the 1,000+ performances that have taken place at Acoustickle since 2009, who knows what we could have achieved."

Supporting Nottingham's Next Generation of Talent
Acoustickle has always been about discovering and nurturing talent. Through Live on Record, we're building new pathways for artists and music professionals while creating a lasting archive of the incredible talent emerging from Nottingham and beyond.
We're also seeking sponsors who would like to support additional album releases. Current funding enables us to release recordings from selected artists, but sponsorship could help us capture and release even more performances.
